Happy Birthday, Isabella!

On November 20, Isabella Jean had her first birthday. She has been such a joy and blessing lent to us from the Lord. With help from friends, we are definitely learning how to raise her in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We want her to grow not only in her knowledge of her naturally sinful nature but in the graciousness and mercifulness of her Savior.

I keep being reminded of Keith Green's "Song for Josiah"...

Here a few birthday pictures!

Isabella loves her Grandpa!
Don't ask me what that balloon is...

  1. Happy birthday Isabella! We love you!

  2. We wanted to come to the party..;( next year Izzie

  3. I was just listening to the "Song for Josiah" in my car last week. It took a lot to keep the tears back, especially equating some of the lines with what ended up happening to Keith and his two eldest children, unbeknownst to him when he sang those lines about death, but also, of course the spiritual meaning of the persecution the Godly will suffer in this world, which lies in the lap of the wicked one. Not too many songs like that out there.

Happy Birthday to dear Isabella. :)
